The beginning leathercraft class is a class with step by step leatherwork instruction on the use of leather tools, transferring carving patterns, carving leather designs, stamping on leather, Coloring (Dyeing/staining and finishing) Leather technique, and setting hardware for leather projects etc. Beginning Leathercraft Classes are designed for those who have not in the past carved or tooled leather. Students in the beginning leatherwork class do not create finished projects, they use remnant leather to learn the techniques during the course. They can and some do chose to work on leathercraft projects outside of class depending on their skill level but the class itself is geared toward getting the students proficient at the process and techniques of carving, tooling and stamping leather.
